About me
Careful observation has always been at the heart of my work.
That curiosity has shaped both my artistic practice and my teaching, leading me from portraiture to botanical studies and contemporary mixed-media work inspired by nature.
Born in Iași, Romania, I studied Graphic Arts and Design at the George Enescu National University of Arts before continuing my education at the University of Salamanca and the Complutense University of Madrid, where I completed a PhD in Image and Design in 2015. Since 2002, Madrid has been my home and creative base.
Today I divide my time between my studio practice, university teaching, and creating nature-inspired workshops and online courses.
My approach
Whether I'm painting a portrait or working with leaves, my work begins in the same place: careful observation. I'm interested in revealing what usually goes unnoticed and inviting others to see the world with fresh eyes.
I don't see creativity as a talent reserved for a few people. I see it as a way of paying attention.
Whether I'm painting a child's portrait, printing leaves onto paper, or teaching a workshop, the process begins in the same place: slowing down, observing carefully, and allowing curiosity to lead.
My goal isn't simply to teach techniques. It's to help people develop the confidence to observe more deeply, think like artists, and discover their own visual language.
Working with Nature
Nature has become both my subject and my teacher. Every leaf, seed, and botanical imprint reminds me that beauty emerges through attention rather than perfection.
Through watercolor, botanical printing, eco-printing, and mixed media, I explore the relationship between memory, material, and the living world.
My artworks and courses invite others to slow down, notice what often goes unseen, and discover creativity through a deeper connection with nature.
